TESTING KITS AND PARTS FOR OLD AND TIRED DIESEL INJECTION PUMPS

If you find your old diesel slow to start after it has been parked overnight or for extended periods, the problem could be a loss of fuel in the injection pump.  

Let's face it…. Some of these high-mileage diesel engines are still running, but they are "tired."  As the injection pump and lift pumps wear, they can allow fuel to "leak back." Then, when you go to start the engine, it takes a while for the injection pump to build pressure for the injectors.
