The included video instructions are for 1977 to 1985 diesel Mercedes models 240D, 300D, 300TD, 300CD, and 300SD. STC100 SVO conversion. STC stands for "Single Tank Conversion" (meaning you will use just the factory tank for both diesel and vegetable oil). 100 is our short BUILDERS kit (meaning it is not complete, and you will have to supply other components of your choice. SVO stands for "straight vegetable oil." This can be either new oil or waste cooking oil. This is NOT biodiesel. PLEASE NOTE: Experience required. This is not a beginner's kit. You will need a good understanding of the diesel fuel system and automotive electrical wiring ( or someone to help who does). You will also need electrical wiring tools and additional wiring terminals to complete the installation successfully. The videos are complete, so any additional personalized installation help is not provided. This is what is included.
Product Details
- Electrical wire and components to power a fuel pump and electric boost heater.
- Fittings and valve to modify your fuel system to "loop mode."
- 3-way valve and fittings to move from normal return to loop mode
- Kent's video instructions on installing our entire kit, which is no longer available.
- Operational procedures
The real value here is in the detailed video instructions that Kent will share when doing the full conversion on a 1983 300D. The instructions will show a different type of fuse box fuse boss assembly with 5 to 6 relays. This is not necessary for a single-tank operation. You really only need two relays and two switches which are included in this builders kit. Be sure to watch ALL the videos before you begin.

This is the three-way valve and fittings you will use to convert your fuel system to loop mode. This is explained in detail in the video instructions.

You will need to source and supply the following on your own.
- Large SVO filter and mounting brackets (video will show example purchased on Amazon)
- 5 to 8 psi electric boost pump (video will show example purchased on Amazon)
- Electric boost HEATER if you operate in colder climates - see note below*
- 1/4" and 5/16" fuel hose
- All hose clamps as required ( video shows pinch clamps but standard clamps can be used )
- All wiring terminals as required
- A good understanding of automotive electrical wiring
*If you plan to drive in cold climates (freezing and below), you will need to add a fuel boost heater to heat the vegetable oil fuel before it enters the injection pump. See related products below to order separately.
If you would like a complete assembled kit ready to install in your W123 diesel, as of August 2026 we still have the full kit that was used to create the videos that are available to do this conversion. This was in the car and only used for two or three hours of operation and then removed. See the related products below for more information.
