Kent is looking for a real Mercedes enthusiast to pass this old diesel on to. The new owner has to be familiar with the W123, be able to do his own work on the car, and be creative enough to operate a sophisticated SVO dual-tank conversion. Look at the pictures closely. This is not a show car, and the price reflects that. It could be made into a show car, but Kent does not believe this is its best use. It is a good-looking 300D, and from 10 feet away, it would be difficult not be impressed. Not perfect, but you will not be embarrassed driving it! He thinks its best use is as a driver and a test bed for alternative-fuel opportunities, as well as for other modifications. .
Product Details
In summary, it is a very solid chassis with tight suspension, a good-shifting transmission, a strong-running diesel engine, original paint that has held up well, and has never been exposed to road salt. No rust holes at the bottom of the doors or in the rocker panels. All power windows and the sunroof have been refurbished and operate properly. The odometer registers 141,000 miles but I can tell the speedo has been replaced. So I do not know the actual mileage, but from the tight suspension and good shifting transmission, I can not imagine it has over 200K.
You can easily switch from running diesel fuel to running straight vegetable oil (SVO) to running filtered waste vegetable oil (WVO). You can even run a combination of both.

I probably missed some things I did to the car. The cost of the above parts would be $5500+. The labor to do all this work in a shop would be over $10,000. There would be other things for the new owner to finish. If you are interested in purchasing this car please contact Kaia - sales@mercedessource.com
