1980 to 1985 OM616 OM617 Diesel Single Hole Vacuum Pump - New Aftermarket

Genuine are no longer manufactured. Rebuild kits are NLA. This is your best option for a totally failed pump!

WARNING READ CAREFULLY: If your vacuum pump recently broke apart there may be a reason for it other than just a vacuum pump fatigue failure. When these pumps break up inside there is usually a problem with the drive mechanism inside the diesel engine. You could have a damaged cam or a worn-out bushing inside the timing device shaft. This is what drives the injection pump. When the bushing wears, the timing device with pump actuating cam WILL wobble and that can cause extreme stress on the vacuum pump mechanism. Thoroughly inspect your engine before installing a replacement pump or your replacement WILL ALSO BREAK APART!!! We can not give any warranty or return if there is an internal problem in your engine and this replacement pump breaks on you after installation. We are seeing this problem more often now and have decided to warn all our customers about this problem on the OM616 and OM617 engines.
